Restored Rail Chair Doorstop
We had this beautiful piece brought into the workshop for restoration into a one of a kind doorstop! It is an original GWR railway chair, found as part of an old bridge over a small stream. It was in very poor condition, covered in mud and rust with large bolts rusted in, however a quick trip through our shotblasting cabinet and it was good as new. We cut off the bottom of the old bolts to leave them showing at the top, then gave the whole thing a black powder coat finish. Probably better than it had originally! A lovely finished piece and a great talking point, as well as a very functional doorstop.
