1 on 1 Full Day Welding/Fabrication Tuition

Our intensive, 1 on 1 course will give you everything you need to kick start your welding journey, get to grips with a particular project, or work on a range of existing skills.

Run by our experienced fabricators in our fully equipped production workshop, each course is tailored to working on what you want to weld – be it car bodywork, equipment repair, sculpture or just general fabrication. This course is a full day of 1 on 1 tuition, and can cover any aspect of MIG, TIG or even laser welding, using our high end professional fabrication equipment.

We will discuss your requirements before the day itself to allow you to get the most out of your session - you will have all day access to one of our highly experienced welder/fabricators, and a wide range of metalworking machinery. Your day could cover anything you would like to learn, however some examples could be:

From scratch tuition in any welding process (MIG/TIG or even laser welding), on mild steel, stainless or aluminium
Use your own equipment and work on existing skills, getting to know exactly how to setup your own plant correctly
A targeted session on a particular area of fabrication - frames, pipe/exhaust welding, thin sheet metal work, or any other general welding projects
Bring your own project you are working on to get professional, hands on advice on how to get the result you need

With full access to our large production workshop on the day, we can also help produce laser cut/folded blanks/parts for your specific project (for a potential extra cost depending on your requirements).

This dedicated course can be run on almost any day including weekdays, and runs from 8:30am to 5pm.

All equipment, PPE and basic practice consumables are provided for the course, as well as tea/coffee refreshments.

If you are brand new to welding and need equipment to use after the course, as a welding equipment supplier we have several ‘ready to weld’ packages available, that if ordered in advance can be used on the course itself. This allows you to get used to setting up and using your specific machine, perfect for getting up and running quickly at home after the course. We can also advise and supply a full range of consumables and accessories (including gas bottles) for any existing machine.

Course Prerequisites:

No previous experience required
All PPE and equipment is provided, however participants must wear closed shoes, long trousers and long sleeves for the course.
All participants must be 18+
Welding and fabrication is an inherently risky activity. You will be required to sign a waiver form at the start of the course – please contact us if you would like to see this in advance.

Unless ordered in bare metal, all of our products are powder coated in the colour you select. This is a very durable finish, which is better than paint and suitable for indoor and outdoor use.

For garden items, as with anything left outside, a wipe down with a soft cloth and warm soapy water is advisable once a year to keep things looking their best.

Our products are for decorative purposes only, and their lifetime outdoors depends on many factors such as placement, local environment and any scratches or chips that may occur during installation. As such, we cannot guarantee that they will be completely corrosion free. Over time, small areas of rust on edges, in corners and behind welds/joins on an item are possible and will not effect the structure of the item.

For added protection, a spray on acrylic lacquer or varnish will extend the coating life, and can be used to protect areas if they are damaged during installation or use.

If you would like to improve corrosion resistance for more permanent items such as house signs, letters used for outdoor/shop signs and similar, we can add a zinc primer layer to your order underneath the main colour. Please contact us should you wish to add this option.

Most of our products are made to order, which can take anywhere between 1-6 days to be designed and made depending on the exact nature of the product. We are a small business and everything is handmade, but we try to get things sent out as quickly as we can. If you need your order by a specific date, please let us know at the checkout and we will do our best! Made to order products include:

Non-stock colours - we try to keep black versions of most products in stock as this is the most popular, and other colours are produced to order
Personalised items - these are designed and made from scratch, and often require a proof to be approved before we begin making your item(s) - this will be indicated on the product page
Bespoke orders - we love creating bespoke designs, however these take time and may well take longer than 1-6 business days for us to produce
